Would you tell us something about your earliest influences, how you came to an appreciation of design and how you moved into design as a profession?
Basically I used to spend most the time reading comics searching for really nice pictures online so as to learn and improve my skills on drawing. I would spend hours drawing/sketching and trying to get things right. I remembered when I first draw a human, it looks like a monster instead. Later i moved on to creating my own characters when I'm free during my army days. Design T-shirts for school events and such. Now I'm more focus on my designs. Creating my very own type of Me in my works.
Who is your reference designer / artist?
SI SCOTT is my reference artist for this collection. His works deals more on feminine side using curves and typography. Admired his methods of expressing himself through graphic design and his majority of his works is done mainly by hand and ink.
How could you describe your work style to those who don't really know it? And why Black and White?
Hand drawn, Typography, creating something using letters and alphabets. Playing with elements on different kinds of fonts. SI SCOTT's designs greatly influenced me especially his ornamental designs. As an amateur, I'm still in the midst of learning and exploring. I always like Black and white. It simply jumps off the page on you while you're looking at it, so primal and strong. The different depths and levels you can see.
The clearest way and sharpest way of expression.
What are your future plans? Are you working on any particular projects right now?
A part time designer at great world city for now. Just keep walking and searching for ideas for my next collection perhaps. Helping out and giving ideas on my friend's projects. Designing logos, brochures, Flyers and etc..
