The month of AUGUST is approaching! Some of my fellow classmates was yearning for it as well. "school faster start!" right Elle? "will you be our class rep again?" or Its time to say a BIG hello to all my M.issing I.n A.ction friends. Besides, the hectic days is approaching as well. Projects, presentations and essays..

Well If you gonna ask me "eh Jav, so hows your summer break? "

I would probably answer you "Its erm... a fruitful one?"

So why?
  1. 2 months in Wishbone Design.Consultants. Gained some knowledge on softwares such as illustrator and photoshop CS3 and experienced the whole working environment in the company.
  2. Freelancing for Quickbite and some minor clients. Learned and Experienced the tricks and trades in the design society.
  3. Movie spree during the jobless month. Thoughts and Reflections.
  4. Helping out in an events company. Simply got myself out from the design world.
  5. Coming out with my own set of illustrations. Free styling at home ㋡

This summer break is all about building up my own portfolio and the working experiences with the individuals in the design society. An amateur like me, stepping into the darkness of the design world... I tend to be naive but things aren't that simple/easy, things just goes chaotic when it's not handled well. That 'it' refers when it comes to secure your rights on your artworks, documents like quotations, terms and conditions was used. At least to cover up your tiny ass.
This time I've asked myself. Why Compare? Don't be so auntie please! Singaporeans just loves to compare!

Sometimes you can't help it being an auntie yourself isn't it? When you got the freedom of choice from a variety of the same objects on the shelf, you will reach out for the one furthest in coz you assumed thats the newest or the freshest one... Well in supermarkets you'll get to see different kinds of people with different eating habits. Just look at the things they buy! and analyse....

After my swim at the Jurong East complex, when i'm on my way to the bus stop i came across this mama shop that sells tibits of the olden days. I don't go for the chocolates nor the toys in it but the boxes. Used to collect nice boxes with nice cravings on it or some that brings back memories...

My small aunt, kelvina: "Woah where u get these boxes! its so omg!! No wonder you're the only creative person in the Lim's family man!"

(er.. so what's gonna do with creativity? hmm its just a box..)
I replied: "haha Of course!! design student leh.. Don't play play!"
