he's the man
alright. this is one of the projects that i've submitted recently, a much hands-on type of project out of all, a little reluctant to do it but it's quite a paid-off job after all. I love the feel of the final product.
Here's the brief: Group work, Create a signature "bento box" that will communicate to the reader/user the most relavant aspects of a designer's design identity, philosophy , life, context, and works.
Here's how we interprate some of the ingredients in our box.

The lid of the box (spent 7 hours on it) is similar to the cover design of Stefan Sagmeister's book, ‘Things I Have Learned in My Life so far’, which has prominent and memorable organic dye cut shapes.
 Moving on ... ..

Inside the box is a removable transparent acrylic board showcasing one of Sagmeister's memorable designs, the "Being Not Truthful works against me" installation which mixes typography into a spider web. Read more bout this project? click here The removal of the acrylic board exposes our other artefacts which include a set of originally design postcards. an overall look

For the viewer to have a better understanding of the history of Sagmeister, a timeline is included inside the box in a form of a fold-out booklet.
The design of the timeline is designed with reference and resemblance to the Columbia posters he designed, which has a see through motive, always including what is underneath to be part of the final design.
Speech bubbles represents the 3 statements sagmeister mentioned.
Amongst the postcards are a series of 33-foot (10-meter) white and angry monkeys in various positions, titled "Everybody always thinks they are right", which is also interpreted into 5 balls designed with the logo of the monkey face for the installed project.

A series of postcards mainly showcasing his works as well as ours,
"Insert Something witty"

works done within the school (lasalle) premises. "I am obsessed with white angry monkeys" -said sagmeister. Here's the angry monkeys project by sagmeister. Enjoy.

Here's his own website. Have fun! http://sagmeister.com/index.html ● Current thoughts: wow, stefan sagmeister loves monkeys too..
